LENA HOSCHEK
Lovers Lane, a hill with a view, the sweet twitter of birds, secret kisses on the back seat of a Cadillac: that’s the soundtrack of the seemingly innocent 50ies which have inspired Lena Hoschek’s Spring/Summer Collection 2011. The sweet tea-dress worn with high heels, English rose prints combined with narrow skirts and tight blouses perfectly depict the underlying eroticism of the time. However, Lena Hoschek also looked behind closed doors. The hidden world of bondage games, Betty Page and the erotic comic strips by John Willy are the collection’s second source of inspiration: eye-catching zippers beckon to be opened within a dreamscape of rubber and leather textures. The dynamics of juxtapositions, the mix of rough and sweet, are a recurring element in the collection. Hoschek designs for a woman who is both: innocent girl and femme fatale.
