LENA HOSCHEK
The main inspiration for her autumn/winter 2010/11 collection comes from the chap’s world: exquisite tweed tailoring, shirts of fine Italian cotton, in perfect liaison with suspenders, vests, ties and silken pocket squares.
The complex couture of the dandy, celebrating perfection in dress and manner. Too bad Lena Hoschek designs for women only. Full skirts, girly details and curve-hugging cuts ensure that the masculine never dominates the feminine. The silhouettes always speak the language of Lena Hoschek’s favourite era, the 40s and 50s.
Instead of only focussing on tweeds and twats, elements and colour shades of Eastern-European folklore break up the properness of the look. It’s yet again a collection for all the women who wouldn’t leave the house without red lipstick and Elvis on their playlist.
