30paarhaende (literally: 30 pairs of hands), 30 students, and one idea – a collection that keeps „...in motion.“ The women's-wear labels 30paarhaende and 30ph are interdisciplinary projects of the University of Applied Sciences HTW Berlin.

30paarhaende was founded in 2003. Under the direction of Professor Uwe Janssen, students who are currently in their sixth term of the fashion design course create their own collections twice a year. In addition, students in their third term have been working on the younger line 30ph since summer 2009.

The courses Clothing Technology/Fabric Processing, Business Administration, Communications Design, Business Communication Management and International Media and Computing all contribute, according to their skills, to developing and marketing the collection. As the terms have a duration of six months, every season offers the opportunity for a new team of designers to demonstrate their abilities working for the sophisticated label. Despite experimental impulses in the creation of the collection, the functionality and clear lines of traditional German design are always at the core of 30paarhaende and 30ph.
