"Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg"
As part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Spring/Summer 2011, Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf has organized the “Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg” award for young designers for the third time now.

What is the “Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg” award?
Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf is focused on giving up and coming talents long-term support and providing them with a platform for ideas and designs. Already for the third time P&C provides with the “Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg” award eight young designers the opportunity to show their collections to a selected audience of industry professionals at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July 2010.

Nominations
The jury – composed of professionals such as textile industry representatives, fashion journalists, and fashion insiders – is responsible for evaluating all of the applications submitted. It also nominates the eight finalists who will then show their collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July 2010. The jury awards the “Designer for Tomorrow” live during the show.  Its decision is final and incontestable.

Live-Streaming & People’s Choice

This year for the first time, P&C is live-streaming the award show from Berlin. P&C Web site visitors have the opportunity to vote for their personal design favorites online. For a blog featuring interviews and video clips on the finalists as well as detailed information and visual material on the young designer award, please visit: www.peek-cloppenburg.de/dft.

Prizes
As part of a professional fashion show, Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf will enable the eight finalists to present their collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Spring/Summer 2011. This includes public relations, fittings, styling, the location, music, technology, and model selection. In addition to an individual support program, the winner will receive a cash award and the golden opportunity of a solo fashion show in Berlin in January 2011. P&C will support the winner by providing him or her with a personal coach and a studio with assistant to help in the creation of the collection. Individually coordinated support activities will round out the prize. In additional, professional PR activities will accompany the solo fashion show.
